The more experience you have the more confident you will feel on any bareboat charter. If you are new to large catamarans or would like a refresher, it’s easy to hire a professional captain with local experience for the first week or a few days. It's a great way to learn from a master. Even an advanced sailor can learn new tips and techniques as well as gaining some valuable local knowledge.
Are there enough activities to keep kids busy?
Kids will have a great time, snorkeling the reefs, exploring tropical islands, sailing and navigating the boat, driving around in the great rubber dinghy and fishing on the reefs.
What is the right number of people to charter one boat?
Any number of people, from 2 to 8 will find comfortable accommodations on the Belize-43. It can even accommodate 10 if you use the crew quarters in the bows.
What should you bring on your trip?
Make sure you bring all your personal gear and necessities, and plenty of suntan lotion and film. You can get anything in Ambergris, but imported goods are expensive. Is the water drinkable and does the boat hold enough?
There is fresh water available at Ambergris Caye, Placentia, South Water Caye and several other places. Water from these places is fine to drink. The boat holds 210 gallons which is more than enough for a week as long as you are judicious with the showers.
